Price drop alert

Watches something you want, checks the price once a day, and tells you where and how much once it drops to your target.

Who it's for: People who have their eye on something that feels a little pricey right now, and don't want to check prices every day.

What it does:

  • You tell it what the item is and the price you'd want to get it under.
  • Once a day it checks the price at a few major stores. When it drops below your target, it tells you which store and how much.
  • If it hasn't dropped in 30 days, it tells you the lowest price it saw in that time, then stops.

Why this one: Muse's App Store description says it compares prices, tracks price drops and lets you know when something goes on sale. This one only has it watch prices and report back; whether to buy is up to you.

Copy for your Muse

Keep an eye on the price of something I want: what it is and my target price; ask me first about anything I haven't made clear. Check the price at a few major stores once a day, and when it drops below my target, tell me which store and how much.
What to do: only look up public price information, and tell me when the price drops.
What not to do: do not add it to a cart or spend any money on it for me, and do not sign up for or sign in to any website.
When to stop: stop when I say “no need to watch anymore”; if it hasn't reached my target in 30 days, tell me the lowest price you saw in that time, then stop.
